haiku wednesday - April 30, 2008

This week's words are
empty
highway
ignored

across seven states
your highway chatter ignored
empty of meaning

ignored on highway
empty pockets, rotted teeth
homeless hitchhiker

empty brain ignored
boss likes short skirts, large cleavage
highway to success

Thought you might want to check out a friend of mine who's also been doing the poem a day thing this month. His name's Greg. (gottabook.blogspot.com)

that second one makes me sad that there has to be so much fear involved in helping someone in this world....

All three excellent! And all conveying different ideas. I'm lucky to come up with one!

The first one cracks me up. Girlfriend? Sister? Wife? Random hitchhiker? Friend? Co-worker you're forced to travel with? The possibilities are endless!

I liked all four of your haiku and cringed at someone babbling all through a road trip. ;)

These are all great - some of your best. They are all true in their experience.

I needed the laugh that last one provided. Highway to success, indeed.
