haiku wednesday - February 6, 2008

This week's words are
bridge
disturbed
still

lonely bridge, still fog
foot crests guardrail, headlights loom
a moment disturbed

two clubs? three no-trump
disturbed, divorced... still playing
lifelong bridge partners

bridge work snarls traffic
disturbed drivers in still cars
take the train next time

bridge to the future
disturbed by mud-slinging jerks
election year, STILL?!?

The second one clinches it.

I like the way the word bridge has been taken up here.

I like the diversity here. You used bridge in so many cool ways!

A variety of bridges - each more clever than the last! Love them!

Variety, variety, variety! You call THESE 'useless garbage'? Well, you can call me a garbage-lover then, a useless one at that, i guess! Jokes apart, I loved your haikus. I am motivated to haiku too. I liked 'em all - yet the second one was the coolest!

I really enjoyed them--especially the part about mud slinging--too true

Thank you all for your comments! Sometimes these come out better than other times, but kind words are never turned away. They are valid currency here.

Loved the line "a moment disturbed."

The second haiku was most unique. One of those you spend a little while thinking about.

And yeah, I'm with you on the last one. Still???
