haiku wednesday - July 2, 2008

This week's words are
indifferent
pour
reason

Bone picks good words. I am curious to see how these were treated by the other 3WW writers. The only note is that I chose to assign indifferent four syllables even though when I say it it usually sounds like three.

they pour from courthouse
indifferent to justice
minds stripped of reason

they want a new war
indifferent to the truth
reason blood may pour

pour reason on me
until I'm indifferent
stop talking, you win

All speak much truth. The first two are so relevant to our current lives

I liked the last one. But the other two are very relevant.

I'm a fan of the last one. It seems to speak to me the most.

The first one - hands down.

Love it, Pete. I can just about see the scene.

The first one is so relevant with the Supreme Court ruling and the vigilante in Texas. Nice haiku.

I find your haiku always a delight to read.

"brew, pour, sip, wake, write" is how I start each day. ;)

Well spoken! I have never had much luck writing haiku, but you make it seem so effortless. My favorite one was the second one. Great writing!
