I guess you do live in the burbs. Alamo? Orinda? Kidding, I don't need to know. Looks like fun was had by all.
We're celebrating by going to our county fair today after the chores are done. Fireworks! The local community band of amateurs playing patriotic medleys. (They are actually quite good.)
One boy with a big flag. That's a parade in itself.

Reminds me of our town's parade - three ponies, a wagon, a few flags, and ten policemen and cars, lights flashing, to direct traffic, lol.
