haiku wednesday - July 23, 2008

This week's words are
avoid
class
sticky

Fun but limited words this week. Sticky is just not that versatile. Avoid is tough to use in too many ways. But together, these three words from Bone have some fun in them. I was going to do my usual three, but then two others just popped into my head as I was writing this. I'll leave it to you to guess which two...

keep up with Joneses?
avoid sticky class struggle!
be content in life

avoid Miss Crenshaw
she turns brains to sticky goo
take art class instead

class? genus? species?
who knows? better avoid it.
sticky residue

deregulation
ruling class avoid the law
sticky fingers grab

I avoid her eyes
she wears no panties in class
this could get sticky

I like the first and fourth best. They seem to be variations on a theme--a good one

Beautiful - every one. I especially like the last one. Based on your high school memories?

haha I think it's amazing to read what you come up with from the prompts! VERY clever! #2 reminded me of the little rascals!
I'm going to guess that #'s 3 & 4 were your pop ins??

The second and the last one were the ones that just popped into your head?

The last one is by far my favorite - hilarious!

Thanks for the comments, y'all!

Sarah--no, not my high school memories. Perhaps high school fantasies. I was a late bloomer in that respect.

I ain't dishing on which ones popped into my head. You will just have to keep guessing. I am a man of mystery.

Gautami--thanks for using all three words in your comment! :-)
