Picking cherries

We went out to Brentwood this morning to enjoy the early cherry pick-your-own season. Got 18 pounds before we realized it. Very nice, but another week or two they'll be perfect.

I love this! Reminds me of Oregon. One year, I must have picked forty pounds of cherries off of one of the trees in our back yard. If you can't eat them fast enough, they freeze well too.

I have a cherry tree in my yard and although short it provides a lot of cherries. this year seems to be a no fruit year, which does occur now and then.

I don't know if you check your older posts, so I'll post here.
I agree with everything you said about $4 gas and the hard impact it's going to have on people.

Just think back to what a barrel of oil cost in 2001. It was under $20.

Holy crap! 18 pounds? What do you do with all of them?

I love cherries! But I'm terribly allergic to them. I still eat'em. I eat'em until my lips swell up like clown lips and my tongue starts to impede my breathing.

We had a cherry tree in my yard when I was growing up, but I think it was so old that it rarely bore fruit, and when it did the cherries were basically bird food.

18 pounds goes pretty fast when you give some out to a bunch of neighbors, an in-law, and a friend having a birthday party. Still, I think I personally have consumed about three pounds in three days.

ello... um, not a pretty picture, sorry to say.
