And how is the conference going? Are you having fun?

I used to work in the industry that provided cameras, video and sound for the "Conference" industry. I remember beer being a big factor.
Having any beer?

I was looking at Baltimore online - beautiful city. Will you have a chance to visit any sights while there?

(and by sights, I mean "cool bars" of course)

This conference, as all national United Way conferences I've attended, has been awesome. This morning we were treated to a speech by Archbishop Desmond Tutu. And I have had a chance to talk with senior UWA staff and CEOs of a few of the local United Ways that are in major markets of my company. The sessions/panels have been very good, especially the inclusion of several young people (college age). Very interesting stuff going on.

There was beer at last night's "host city event" at the aquarium, but I did not have any. Instead, I went with the Maker's Mark.

Unfortunately, I won't have time to see much outside the few blocks we walk around to get to/from the conference and conference events. But still, about 2,000 people in the room and some very good speakers, and a lot of very committed people who really, sincerely, want to make the world a better place.

So, yeah, good conference.

Jane and BT, you make one dastardly tag team. I will respond to the tag in a few days. Things are wicked busy.

All you Baltimore-area people--I'm disappointed I didn't get to connect with you, but really I didn't have much more than a half hour free at any given time during the whole week.
