Where's Peter Been?

Working, mostly. Our giving campaign continues to go strong, well ahead of where we were this time last year. It remains to be seen how and whether the interesting Wachovia news has any effect. Even more interesting to me personally is that I was selected for the promotion to the manager job of my group. Vice President and Manager of Community Support Programs. Pretty cool. VP. And I didn't even have to debate anyone, by golly, also. Sarah Palin's got nothing on me... sure she can see Russia from her house. But I lived in Berkeley for four years, and that's way closer to communists than she's ever been.

Off to coach soccer now. We're short players today, so we may get our first loss of the year. We're currently 1-0-3 (three ties and one win). Nine year olds are so much fun to coach.

Who's Peter Been? Or is that Peter Bean, or Peter Beene? And who are they? :-)

In any event, congrats!

Yeah, Pete! Way to go. Hope you have a great time with the kids.

I know what you mean about Berkeley. Actually, we enjoyed Berkeley more than SF on our Honeymoon, but maybe because we only spent one day there. Great jamaican veggie place in Berkeley. We had wonderful jamaican jerk veggie-chicken sandwiches there. Very close to the BART at some exit that begins with an A, I think. About 2 miles south (BART-wise) of the college.

Hey, Pete-

Congratulations, and glad to 'see' you again!

By the way, I bank with Wachovia, so you guys be good to us, please. I don't want to switch banks. I love my little tucked-away branch office, and the wonderful people inside it. If it closes, me and my moolah are going.

Being renamed Wells Fargo would actually be nice. Sounds a helluva lot better than Wachovia. (we were with them when they were First Union, a name I like a helluva lot better as well).

Anyway, congrats! You deserve that promotion.

Watchovia sounds like the pronunciation Sarah Palin might use in "Watch over you." Which is not what I want her to be able to do. You betcha.

Congrats on the job front, Pete. Glad to hear about the kids, too.

Congrats! How wonderful to get a promotion! I'm glad to see that WF recognizes what a wonderful talent they have in you!

It's nice to hear some good news this week (I'm depressed about the stock market) and I'm happy that good news concerned such a great guy!

Hey - please tell Maria that she forgot something here. It's a mouse.

Btw, did I leave my watch in Maria's purse? (actually, it's Gregg's watch). :)
