I'm sorry for ruining the economy

No, this has nothing to do with Day Job. I appear to be ruining the economy all on my own.

Here's how:  A beta reader of my YA WIP (with a working title of "The Thirteenth Semper," currently being queried to agents) wrote this to me today:
My 14 year old daughter passed up a trip to the mall to stay home and read your book.
So, my apologies to all you merchants at our local mall.  God forbid my book ever gets published. Can you imagine the impact to retail sales figures?
