haiku wednesday - July 8, 2009

This week's words are
gloom
kneel
transparent

Happy 19th wedding anniversary to my wife. No, not apropos to 3WW exactly, but I figured I should say it.

hypocrites, we kneel
transparent priest prays for us
gloom of man-made church

your voice lights my gloom
thick walls dissolve, transparent
come, kneel next to me

kneel before you? ha!
your gloom and doom are all lies
transparent clothes, gone

  11. nice, these haikus makes me think of marriage and anniversary, since you mention about your 19 wedding anniversary, guess my mind just takes in the things that I shouldn't

I like the last one, almost seems like one of those statements you said out loud but really don't mean

  14. Happy Anniversary! That first haiku really resonated for me, since I've never quite understood why "the good news" is so often preached in gloomy places and with scare tactics.

  17. Thank you all for the anniversary wishes! We had a nice dinner out, then celebrated the following day with a birthday party for our older son, who just turned 13.

I hope I managed to visit all your pages this week, though I sure have a lot of cracks these days through which things tend to fall.
